The Kitronik Lesson in a Box Easy Robotics Learning Kit for micro:bit is a complete set of electronics and teaching materials that can be used to successfully conduct cross-disciplinary lessons with minimal teacher effort. This box covers three of the eight national curriculum study areas: Design/Technology, Computing, and Physics.
The theme in developing this box was that it needed to be affordable, easy to use, and durable enough for teachers to use again and again. Not only is it aimed at middle and high school students, it also encourages students to see the value of traditional STEM learning and supports personal development. All teaching materials, whether it is technical instructions, lesson plans, exercise books or worksheets, are provided to teachers in a "user-friendly" way. Available in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and PDF formats, you can copy, modify and print to suit your own teaching style.
It also includes a Boxed Lesson Kit Quick Start Guide, giving you an overview of what's included in the kit, including an overview of the new lesson, how to set up the kit, how to use the micro:bit and code examples. This robot uses a BBC micro:bit and our Klip motor driver board and is designed for this type of activity! No soldering required, everything connects via alligator clips.
The great thing about the micro:bit is that it's not only easy to use, but it's also feature-rich and can be coded in languages suitable for all ability levels.
