Open source robotics platform for learning and development
Top-mounting plate for easy integration
The Clearpath Robotics TurtleBot 4 mobile robot is the next-generation robotics platform for learning the Robot Operating System (ROS). With better sensors, more computing power, and support for ROS 2, the TurtleBot 4 is a fully scalable reference platform for robotics researchers, developers, and educators.
The TurtleBot 4 features an iRobot® Create3 mobile base, a powerful Raspberry Pi 4 running ROS 2, 2D LiDAR, and more. All components are fully integrated to provide a ready-to-use development and learning platform.
This product features an OAK-D-PRO 4K RGB autofocus camera. A top-mounting plate is included for easy integration of third-party hardware.
Quick Start
TurtleBot 4 is the ideal robotics development platform for custom applications. It comes fully assembled, pre-installed, and configured with ROS 2, along with a detailed user guide, Ignition Gazebo simulation model, demo code, and a set of tutorials to help you quickly develop your robotics applications.
Sensor Packaging
TurtleBot 4 is equipped with a variety of integrated sensors, making it suitable for a wide range of robotics applications. Onboard sensors include the OAK-D spatial AI stereo camera, 2D LiDAR, IMU, optical floor tracking sensor, wheel encoder, infrared, cliff, bump, and slip detection. All onboard sensors are available as ROS topics via the networkable ROS 2 API.

Modern Mobility
The TurtleBot 4 is based on the iRobot Create 3 educational robot, a rugged robot with a variety of smart sensors for precise positioning and orientation, a 9 kg payload, and a top speed of 0.306 m/s. The Create 3 has a separate ROS interface and, unlike previous TurtleBots, includes an integrated battery and charging dock.
Build and Expand
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can easily expand the capabilities of the TurtleBot 4 by adding your own sensors and custom payloads. Conveniently located USB ports, power distribution, and top mounting plates make it easy to integrate third-party hardware and components. With support for ROS 2 and Micro-ROS, expanding and integrating with the built-in microcontroller is easier than ever.
