Includes Navigator flight controller and base station
It has a rugged construction and compact size.
The BlueRobotics BlueBoat Unmanned Surface Vessel is an affordable surface vessel designed for hydrographic surveys, robotic system development and scientific missions. With a weed-free hull/propeller, rugged construction and compact size, it is designed to be reliable and easy to use. Its flexible electronics architecture, ample payload mounting area and open source BlueOS software system make it an ideal platform for sonar and other sensor integration.
The BlueBoat is designed to carry any payload you want to integrate, and it will outperform any other vessel of its size. Control electronics, batteries and wiring are contained within the hull, and the space between the hulls is completely dedicated to payload integration. The hull is designed with flat inner walls to create an optimal low wake sensor area for surveying sonars. BlueBoat can carry up to 15 kg of batteries and payload. Transom brackets provide mounting points on the bottom of the hull for anything: a hydrographic echosounder, a case full of prototype electronics, or both.
The vision for BlueBoat is reliability and absolute dependability under constant conditions. If a SolarSurfer gets stuck in weeds or debris, the unmanned vehicle will quickly require an inconvenient and expensive rescue. So this unique design solves that problem. BlueBoat's unique deep hull shape enables it to push through weeds and debris. Anything that doesn't get pushed through is brushed off by the weed-killing propellers driven by two M200 engines. So whether you're taking bathymetric measurements in a weed-filled lake or surveying a waterway polluted by plastic, you can trust BlueBoat to get the job done.
Every BlueBoat includes the Navigator flight controller/GPS/ArduRover control firmware for advanced autonomous navigation capabilities. Out of the box, you get precise GPS waypoint navigation, position hold to specific locations, follow-me operation, geo-fencing, and automatic return when radio signal is lost. With drag-and-drop operation, you can easily design complex missions in minutes.
The BlueBoat has a long-range Wi-Fi radio that uses a standard antenna to connect to a BaseStation box up to 1 km away. The BaseStation acts as a Wi-Fi access point that allows you to connect and operate your boat. It also has a built-in battery and a USB-C port for charging and wired connection.
